Yelp is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help build & optimize its state-of-the-art Commerce platform – specifically Payments for Advertising Billing. In this role, you’ll own and define the Payments and billing platform that processes over $1B in annual revenue from Yelp’s 500,000+ advertisers. This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll keep close communication across Yelp’s executive team, collaborate with other PMs, engineers, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance partners and more to ultimately help create a vision for a large group of engineers.

 

This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular area in Canada. We welcome applicants from throughout Canada.

What you'll do::

• Define the payments roadmap based on your extensive knowledge of the subscription payments landscape, customer pain points and specific business needs.
• Be responsible for launching new payment methods, maximizing payment authorization rates, lowering declines and cost of payments, and minimizing payment disputes, defects and fraud
• Lead the team in building a world class subscription payments system by leveraging large ambiguous data sets 
• Team up with Engineering, Business Operations, Finance, Customer Success to hone and iterate on your ideas.

What it takes to succeed::

• Experience in leading, scaling and optimizing a growing advertising or subscription payments platform
• Ability to comfortably analyze large data sets and ask the right data questions in order to hone your ideas and deliver features which have a high degree of ambiguity.
• Excitement to translate users’ needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and an understanding of the payments industry landscape.
• Deep understanding of the subscription payments domain with a passion for technology; you’re not just concerned about what we build, but how we build it.
• Ability to dive deep with engineers to make technical tradeoff decisions and summarize it all for non-technical stakeholders and executives
