We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager with strong business process SOX experience along with operational auditing experience to join our growing team. This position is a key member of the Internal Audit team, working across the entire company to manage risks and controls that impact the organization. You will participate in assurance and advisory projects within areas such as the people team, sales, marketing & operations, product management, finance, financial systems and revenue engineering.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and participate in financial, operational and SOX audit work.
- Lead the end-to-end SOX business process testing cycle, including control design walkthroughs and effectiveness testing
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures and controls, including flowcharts and Risk and Control Matrices; document narratives as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to key control owners as they address control deficiencies or make significant process changes (ex. implementation of new systems, impact assessment for changes in people, process or technology, etc).
- Partner closely with IT auditors to ensure alignment on internal audit approach, timing, controls reliance, external audit reliance, etc.
- Perform audit projects in accordance with departmental and Institute of Internal Auditors standards.
- Align with external auditors as part of the integrated annual financial statement audit
- Identify opportunities to leverage IT solutions to automate processes and create efficiencies in financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Support preparation of audit reports and Audit Committee communications.
- Manage junior Internal Audit personnel and co-sourcing vendor, with the opportunity to build a team as the company continues to scale
Who You Are:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance (Preferred certifications: CPA, CIA or CISA)
- 5+ years of internal audit, external audit and/or SOX experience
- Effective managerial skills and experience being a people manager
- Knowledge of external auditor requirements and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated cross-functional people and process management skills
- Highly organized, motivated, detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience with NetSuite and Auditboard a plus

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $128,000 - $187,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
