The role supports the NA product pipeline, strategic plans, and product line rationalization efforts. In addition to the long-term and cyclical responsibilities, the role typically supports a number of ad-hoc concept evaluations as well as modest reporting and tracking responsibilities. The role involves close partnership with local leadership committees (e.g. Americas Executive Product Committee), Distribution (Wealth Management Intermediaries, North America Institutional), functional support teams (Legal, Compliance), and Investment teams. The position will report to the Head of Product Strategy.
Your Role
The Product Strategy Manager role supports the product management lifecycle: intaking ideas for innovation, developing concept and feasibility assessments, evaluating concepts relative to strategic goals, leading through peer and leadership reviews, and assisting with prioritization. The role supports the NA product pipeline, strategic plans, and product line rationalization efforts. In addition to the long-term and cyclical responsibilities, the role typically supports a number of ad-hoc concept evaluations as well as modest reporting and tracking responsibilities. The role involves close partnership with local leadership committees (e.g. Americas Executive Product Committee), Distribution (Wealth Management Intermediaries, North America Institutional), functional support teams (Legal, Compliance), and Investment teams. The position will report to the Head of Product Strategy.
You will be responsible for:
Manage product initiatives (launches, mergers, modifications) from concept to approval
Create robust concept due-diligence evaluations that enable leadership to easy understand how proposed ideas relate to overall goals and market opportunity
Track regulatory developments to provide consultative support to internal stakeholders
Effectively utilize established project management techniques and methodologies
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with increased focus on presentation skills
Effectively navigate ambiguity to deliver multiple workstreams at the same time
Apply business experience to sound decision making
Possess understanding of organizational interdependencies
Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization
Work closely with Product Development and other key stakeholders to ensure product concepts have strong implementation readiness
The experience you bring:
3-5 years industry experience
Experience working with larger business initiatives
Preference for background in product
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Power Point and Excel
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
Experience with product development / management
Understanding of the investment markets, assets classes, products and product structures
