How will you make an impact in this role? Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also, they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure. 1. Position Summary:
- Prepare financial analysis to support review of periodic (monthly / quarterly / yearly) financial results.
- Assist the preparation of the financial trending analysis, highlighting trends, outliers and variances to be presented during the month close review meetings.
- Assist the preparation and completion of financial variance commentary for distribution to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and relevant regulations
- Support Manager in the completion of ongoing projects and deliverables as required.
- Maintain files to summarize financial results, perform financial trending analysis for business stakeholder review.
- Support Manager in preparing quarterly financial updates
- Support preparation of supports requested as part of internal and external audits.
- Familiarize with subledger systems and reporting to validate the general ledger balances.
- Support Manager in testing financial accounting and reporting requirements related to product launches / system changes.
- Perform other ad hoc financial reporting, analysis and tasks as required.
- Capability to work and solve problems independently.
- Ability to manage multiple time sensitive deliverables at month / quarter close.
- Timely identification and escalation of issues
- Ability to quickly develop sound understanding of accounting and reporting processes
- Reports to Manager, Finance Integrity.
- Accounting designation preferred (CA / CPA / CGA).
- At least 2-3 years finance experience.
- Good technical accounting background and experience in accounting and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS-Office applications (Advance Excell skills) and Essbase/analytical software. Working knowledge of Data Analytics / Tableau would be beneficial.
- Sound understanding of financial systems and processes as well as control environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to collaborate across geographies in a matrix structure and deliver on customer expectations.
- Regular contact with local and Global process teams for issue resolution, updates and training on AXP policies and procedures.
- Able to perform multiple tasks, work to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and escalate issues for resolution.
- Personal accountability in ensuring all tasks and activities is carried out in accordance with policy and on timely basis.
