Role: Quality Engineering SMTS The BizTech Application Development team is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to support the Renewals Application Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle; experience in Quality Assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices; hands-on skills with test automation tools for functional, and automation testing. Role Overview:Salesforce.com is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with Automation approach to join our BT Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing automated quality assurance practices for highly scalable internal applications built using Force.com technologies. You must have a solid background in Java or Force.com/Apex programming skills and a good understanding of Javascript, modern UI frameworks, Webdriver and Selenium. You will be responsible for developing functional automation tests around UI & APIs. You will use your experience to work with team members to develop new application features, as well as, enhance existing code and framework. You should have a history of building successful automated quality control pipelines on Jenkins or other CI/CD tools. We're looking for people with that special mix of technical ability, curiosity, and an analytical mind to help us ensure every line of code we push to production as part of the Business Technology applications is of the highest quality. As Quality Engineering SMTS, you would be part of the engineering team, working closely with other technical staff members, business systems analyst and product owner who are responsible for adding new features or improving the current applications. This job requires that you be a quick learner, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. You should have the ability to work in a fun, creative and fast paced environment. You will be responsible to adapt quickly, motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results. You must possess good oral and written communication/documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team’s portfolio. Responsibilities: * Independently craft and deliver code for products with a quality mentality.* Provides mentorship through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.* Actively support our agile framework - including establishing scrum team roles, tools, and practices* Master the Salesforce development process, culture and code base, in order to improve it.* Analysis and Design: Participate in a Test Design Review Board for integration test plans within and across clouds with focus on functional, business, complex scenarios, high impact projects, usability, and accessibility* Master clouds requirements (e.g. underlying techstack, business usage, implementation)* Create end-to-end, cross cloud-impacting, integration automation (API and UI) with complex Salesforce orgs* Work with customers to understand real life usage, build test cases* Complete Testing with complex org setup, varied data models* Organize and drive cross product testing* Monitor product and/or feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc)* Works closely with senior developers, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements* You are providing leadership and coaching to others on your scrum teams, as well as providing mentoring to others who may be on other scrum teams. Requirements/Experience: * Bachelor's degree - ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS (Master's Preferred)* 9+ years of of experience in software engineering, Quality Assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices* Plan, design and enhance automation framework, utilities and tools* 7+ years experience in designing and implementing automated test suite that are fast, robust, and maintainable using Java-based tools such as Selenium Web Driver, JUnit, and Apex* 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering developing test framework using an OOP language, such as Apex, Java, C#, etc. and testing in web based environment, SaaS preferred* 5+ years of Experience in testing Salesforce application built-on Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud platform.* Knowledge on Salesforce config (Role, Profiles, Perm Set), Apex Classes, Triggers, SOQL etc* Hands-on skills with test automation tools for functional, regression, performance and load testing* Document test plans and publish test results with the goal of continuous improvement in code quality, test coverage (functionality and code)* Diagnose, track and manage quality issues to resolution required* Experience with agile development methodology* Familiar with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline tools.* Proficient in Java, Apex or a similar Object Oriented programming language* Experience with developer tools like git, Visual Studio Code and Eclipse IDE* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross-vendor teams and deliver to aggressive timelines* Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines and demonstrates problem-solving skills.* Effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner and ability to coordinate cross-team efforts* Ability to mentor and develop junior team members Desired Skills: * Certification like Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I* Familiarity with Mulesoft, tableau, splunk is added advantage.
