Condé Nast Italy is seeking a Senior Communications Manager. Based in Milan and reporting to VP Communications, the person will oversee all communications for Condé Nast Italy and help lead strategic brand communications for Vogue Italy, Vanity Fair, GQ, AD, Condé Nast Traveller, Wired, and La Cucina Italiana. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with editorial leaders and local leadership team to build a strong, integrated communications program and drive innovation among the team to help amplify the journalism, content and leadership across the brands in new ways.
Please note that this role will join Condé Nast Italia with a fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover) of maximum 12 months.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement ambitious, forward-thinking communications strategies that advance Condé Nast's global strategic priorities.
Help to drive proactive consumer communications for Condé Nast’s wide range of brands including Vogue Italy, Vanity Fair, GQ, Wired…
Collaborate closely with the Global communications team, local leadership team and editorial leadership on wider narrative positioning and business strategy
Cultivate top-tier media relationships to secure opportunities for key editorial and business priorities
Identify third-party commentary topics, trends and news agenda items in order to proactively pitch and secure daily media coverage
Act as a key corporate communications contact for Condé Nast Italy and help to manage external media enquiries and speaking engagements for relevant Condé Nast staff
Produce high-quality written materials including key messaging, narrative, press releases, Q&A and statements
Support internal communications strategy through newsletters, internal events, coordination with other departments within Condé Nast Italy
Work closely with the global corporate communications team to build and maintain Condé Nast’s corporate profile including managing Condé Nast Italy online corporate channels (website, social media accounts)
Primary Skills and Qualifications
7+ years experience in Media and/or Entertainment Communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English. Samples will be required
Consistent track record of securing high-level media coverage in news, trade, consumer and entertainment press
Extensive and existing relationships with media contacts, including news, business, trade, consumer and entertainment reporters in Italy
Strong social media skills including creating high-quality presentations, images, newsletters or creative content
Ability to work collaboratively across global teams; comfortable interacting with senior leaders and executives
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
