About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use):09 About the Role: The Team: We are seeking a motivated Junior Build and Release Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our software development and operations group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality software products. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in build automation, continuous integration, and release management while working on exciting projects that make a real-world impact. Responsibilities and Impact:
- Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and maintain automated build and release pipelines.
- Configure and manage build tools, version control systems, and artifact repositories.
- Monitor and troubleshoot build and deployment processes to ensure smooth and reliable software releases.
- Implement and improve CI/CD best practices to enhance development productivity and product quality.
- Work closely with QA and operations teams to streamline deployment workflows and minimize downtime.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions for deployment automation.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our build and release practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and self-improvement.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines is a bonus.
- Certifications in DevOps or related areas would be advantageous.
