Overview In this position, you will work closely with clients and our global business development team in helping to define geospatial-centric solutions and implementation of those solutions. You will solve complex geospatial problems by evaluating and translating the customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies. Utilize your GIS technical know-how and/or domain expertise to support new customers and seasoned users to develop best practices for implementing Esri's enterprise system to realize their vision and drive toward their goals. In this position, you will become a customer's trusted advisor at Esri, while also interfacing with Esri staff and technology partners. Blend your subject matter expertise with Esri's geospatial capabilities and engage with our customers to provide transformational approaches to their business. You will spend time developing business opportunities and growing the software footprint in the manufacturing industry. This team supports our Manufacturing customers in the Commercial department within Professional Services. The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful. Responsibilities
- Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art solutions
- Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions for customer requirements and work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activities
- Manage projects and support customers throughout the entire project life-cycle; including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementation
- Lead the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
- Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors
- 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience with a record of technology or business management consulting with an interest in Private sector customers
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Experience developing project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn – you must thrive in dynamic, cross-functional and matrixed team environments
- Excellent written communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, team-oriented, and creative
- Strong, persuasive, and friendly communications skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
- Ability to consult and engage with senior level leadership
- Experience with proposal writing, preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Bachelor’s in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, or a related STEM field
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analysis, or similar geospatial technology
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, MBA or a related STEM field
- Preferred experience in manufacturing industry
