Job Summary:
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a qualified candidate to provide flight test support to the Global Hawk Ground Segment equipment at Rancho Bernardo, CA. Candidate will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during flight tests; perform maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems. Candidate will be expected to install and troubleshoot experimental HW/SW, provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner. Troubleshooting will include industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures. Candidate will work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Participate in daily reviews with customers.
- Perform administrative tasks necessary in day-to-day operation of a repair facility.
- Utilize knowledge gained from the training and through field experiences to provide onsite technical support and assistance directly to customers.
- Communicate technical information effectively in writing as well as verbally.
- Possess the ability to efficiently create and maintain documentation using Office products.
- Perform basic UNIX commands and interpret results as part of the maintenance process.
- Coordinate with the home office as required to troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Ability to travel to Danger Pay posts (as defined by the US Department of State) and or other international locations if required.
- Able to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS sites up to but not limited to 150 days.
Minimum Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and move through a normal range of motion to perform maintenance actions including lifting, holding, and maneuvering items weighing in excess of 40 lbs on a routine basis.
Basic Qualifications:
- Existing SECRET Security Clearance
- 5+ years experience as a system administrator or development/support in the Linux, Solaris, Irix or other Unix environment
- Familiarity with DISA cyber operations
- Experience with Ethernet routing and switching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Linux/Unix: BASH/CSHELL
- Direct experience supporting Solaris or IRIX systems
- WAN Networking, long haul links, VOIP, and data communications.
- Understanding of RF satellite communication principals
- Experience with csh, bash, and other Linux/Unix shell languages
- Any direct software development experience in Java, C/C++, and/or Python
- System administration experience in integrated Windows and Linux environments: CIFS, Samba, Domain integration.
- Postgres, MySQL or other general DB management
- General knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 protocol
- Any familiarity with Global Hawk or other DoD UAS programs.
- Experience with NSA encryptors, KG-175D, KG-250X, KG-255XFC
- Experience or familiarity with HVAC, UPS systems, diesel generators a plus
- General knowledge OSI model of network communications from physical to application layer
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
