You role :
A Technical Product Owner uses their technical background to close the gap between the technical and business side of software product development. The Technical Product Owner will work with the development teams to build software systems in an agile way. The Technical Product Owner draws on critical thinking and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems to deliver incremental capability value. This role is always open to new challenges, looks for innovative, creative, self-directed ways to get the job done. A successful TPO collaborates effectively within their Scrum Team, with other Product Owners, Business Analysts and with the Product Managers they enable.
What you will be doing :
Drive the Agile product lifecycle of a Scrum team or teams: user story writing, refinement, prioritization, planning, and Minimal Viable Product assessments
Synthesize requirements into user stories to align with underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and drive efforts to meet aggressive timelines
Understand the functional and non-functional needs to ensure the user story is implemented correctly and document acceptance criteria
Work with Team Lead and Architect to understand impacts and prioritization of technical functionality
Clarify, prioritize, and drive commitments
Lead and facilitate PI Planning for respective scrum team(s)
Conduct refinement sessions and maintain a prioritized backlog(s)
Provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints
Effectively manage Product Manager and Architect expectations and resolve conflicts that balance business and technology needs
What you will bring:
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in agile software product projects; preferably in the Fintech industry
A progressive record of successful delivery of complex software systems or services
Able to work with team to prioritize a technical backlog understanding the impacts of system administration and infrastructure functionality
Comprehensive understanding of the agile software process (development, configuration, testing, and deployment); preferably SAFe
Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters, problem solving skills are a must
Proven ability to work cross-teams with strong prioritization skills
Skilled in creating user stories, scenarios, and acceptance criteria
Able to abstract story details from business requirements and architectural artifacts
Familiarity with right sizing stories and facilitating cross-team dependencies
Provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints to prioritize and drive commitments
Work with minimal supervision and review and exercise independent judgement
Passionate about creating intuitive, reliable software
