About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use):10 About the Role: The Team: As an integral member of the S&P Dow Jones Indices’ global marketing team, this position is responsible for driving awareness, leads and adoption of S&P DJI offerings and index-linked products. As part of the broader commercial organization, Marketing is responsible for helping to drive market share, revenue and leads, connecting Marketing activities (advertising, digital marketing, content marketing, etc.) to specific commercial outcomes. The position is part of S&P DJI’s Product Marketing team, whose remit is to develop and execute promotional marketing strategies to drive leads, improve competitive positioning and increase awareness and educational support of S&P DJI index-linked products and capabilities to targeted audiences globally. The individual will collaborate regularly with the broader S&P DJI Marketing team, Enterprise and all digital agencies (creative, media, demand gen, etc.) to ensure activations are aligned to strategic and commercial priorities and optimized for driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs). Responsibilities and Impact: This role will help promote the S&P DJI brand as the world’s leading, independent, index solutions provider. This role has responsibility for the public outcomes of S&P DJI’s marketing in a business that is the largest global resource for essential index-based concepts, data and research, and home to iconic financial market indicators, such as the S&P 500® and the Dow Jones Industrial Average®. The individual will be responsible for helping to drive marketing and commercial outcomes across all digital promotion activations. You will work closely with all parts of the S&P DJI organization and regularly collaborate with Commercial Data & Analytics (CDA), Client Experience Team (CXT) and Inside Sales. You will be an ambassador for S&P DJI and cultivate a high-performance culture of client-centrism, disciplined execution, collaboration, innovation, and integrity. As part of the Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for helping to drive market share, revenue and leads, connecting Marketing activities to specific commercial outcomes, focusing on:
- Paid Media. This role’s primary focus is supporting the global paid media program by leveraging techniques across the digital mix (display, sponsored content, paid search/SEM and social media advertising). Ensure that all top, mid and bottom funnel activations are employed and optimized across priority product lines and data sales initiatives to support revenue targets, drive MQLs and demonstrate Marketing Influenced Revenue (MIR).
- Third-Party Syndication & Lead Generation. Responsible for facilitating day-to-day execution across a multitude of content delivery techniques including, but not limited to, third-party distribution (500+) and social media outreach to drive leads and promote downstream awareness of S&P DJI’s underlying index-linked products and data.
- KPI/Reporting Oversight & Delivery. Oversight of KPIs in a transparent and informative manner for internal and external stakeholders and unifying reports allowing for near real-time optimization and data analysis. The role owns direct responsibility for consolidating, synthesizing and reporting metrics across the digital program and partnering directly with relevant stakeholders to ensure processes are optimized to report commercial outcomes. Manage all necessary back-end systems and campaign tracking in order to effectively deliver management-ready interactive dashboards and provide real-time access to aggregate KPIs by region, theme, partner and audience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, experience with Financial Services preferred.
- Experience with social media and analytics platforms including but not limited to Adobe Analytics, Hootsuite, LinkedIn Account Manager, Tableau, Sharepoint, etc.
- Must be able to demonstrate commercial results and actionable outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred).
- Demonstrate interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a track record of driving measurable and significant results.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Experience with managing marketing campaigns and activations across digital marketing landscape including but not limited to programmatic, search, social media and display advertising.
- Foundational understanding of the principals of the primary uses of indices, and index-based products by portfolio managers, financial analysis, institutional-quality asset owners and product issuers preferred.
- Comprehension of the basic pillars of investment management /asset allocation and the goals of financial market participants, including institutional investors, financial advisors, etc.
- Must exhibit ability to prioritize many conflicting business needs and act accordingly in a timely manner.
