At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale. We are currently looking for a Senior Technology Architect to join our global team. The role will report to the Global Platform Leader – HyLYZER 500.
Your tasks
· Support the development of the HyLYZER-500 Global product to align with market plans.
· Working closely with other platform leaders to define processes and tools for product platform management of electrolyzers.
· Partnering with the functional engineer leaders in the planning, delivery and execution of engineering plans.
· Develop system level requirements for platform Hylyzer 500.
· Translate system req to sub system requirements.
· Develop system P diagrams, boundary diagrams, system FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
· Define, develop and enhance key architecture features for all global platforms.
· Develop plans, ideas and concepts for further optimization of platform architecture.
· Partner with Platform Leader to develop the platform product road map / plan.
· Develop & own hopper and manage/plan changes for platform architecture optimization for reliability, performance, cost, TCO, manufacturability, etc.
· Coach, develop and train platform experts and Technical Project Leaders in architecture details.
· Assist and advise in issues and failures in VPI (Value Package Introduction) and CP (Capability of a Process).
· Platform Interface with Stack Team.
· Availability for business trips (up to 15% of working time, mostly to USA).
Your profile
· College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical and Electrical Engineering) or appropriate STEM field is required.
· Demonstrated success having worked in a Technical Specialist/Specialist Engineering role on lower complexity product development activities, translating customer needs and negotiating into product development plans, technical profiles and/or product specifications with a proven track record of successful product decisions.
· Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required (experience with Hydrogen Electrolyzers is preferred).
· Exceptional communication skills: adept at developing and delivering multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.
· Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
· Highly adaptable, flexible and resilient to constant change within this new emerging hydrogen market / industry.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Self-motivated, takes ownership, and capable of starting new processes from scratch.
· Proficient in English – Written and Verbal.
