We are looking for a talented IT- STW to join our team specializing in IT for our Engine Business Segment in Rocky Mount, NC. This is an onsite position. Work schedule can vary as needed to accommodate the student's regular school schedule. Request that successful candidate work a routine schedule up to the STW limit of 19 hours per week, and no less than 15 hours per week. There is room for flexibility when needed, but we request that a routine workweek be maintained as much as possible. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: · Provides operational support ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of IT resources for end users under close supervision. Must work collaboratively with others. · Acts as a point of contact for customers for service related inquiries and maintains relationships with key customers and suppliers · Performs IT support for assigned area(s) according to documented processes. · Diagnoses and problem solves issues with IT hardware or software components with direction. · Performs initial troubleshooting of assigned issues per department standards and escalates if unable to resolve · Uses Incident Management system to manage reported issues or requests submitted by end users and log any actions or support provided. To be successful in this role you will need the following: · Problem Solving - Solves problems and may mentor others on effective problem solving by using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and ensures actions to prevent problem reoccurrence are implemented. · Troubleshooting - Diagnoses and resolves the customer-identified issue by utilizing appropriate department standards to satisfy customer expectations. · Incident Management - Maintains reported issues or requests assigned via the Incident Management system to log actions taken and track trends. · Situational adaptability - Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations. · Must be 16 Years of age, in high school or post secondary school. No GPA requirement · 19-hour work week maximum. · Can start in Spring, Summer or Fall Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
