We are currently seeking a R&D Software Test Engineer located in Kalamazoo, Michigan to test software related to robotics and assisted surgery in the orthopedic space.

What You Will DoAs a Software Test Engineer, you will create verification plans and test procedures to support testing of medical devices for use by Orthopedic Surgeons to allow them to plan and perform their procedures. This role will be a key contributor to the software development process of medical devices that supports our computer assisted and robotic product lines.
- You will develop procedures and scripts for requirements-based testing of medical devices in accordance with internal software development lifecycle requirements in compliance with FDA software development guidance.
- You will work directly with technical Leadership on breaking down work, scheduling, risks, and project updates.
- You will interact with both internal and external customers to support determining requirements and validation of requirements.
- You will work cross functionally with multiple technical experts and internal/external training to further develop your software testing skills and your understanding of the medical procedures where these products will be used.
- You will actively participate in the greater Stryker software community to continually improve the way we work
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required
- 0+ years related experience required (some related hands-on experience strongly preferred)
- Matlab experience highly preferred
- Background in Mathematics
- C / C++ / Python
- Knowledge in embedded system design.
- Control systems.
- GUI testing tools (Squish)
- Strong aptitude and interest in system and software testing.
