Learn more about our employee referral program Position summary: This role is for a “Lead Business Analyst – Data & Analytics” who will be responsible for supporting the newly formed Data & Analytics team at SSP. The person in the role will be responsible for engaging with various business and IT stakeholders, to understand, design, develop and deliver data-driven insights for SSP. This role will be a key player in the identify opportunities to grow, optimise, and improve Stryker’s business processes, and help build trust in the data assets of SSP as the business looks to develop a mature capability of data-based decision making. Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)
- Work with business stakeholders to identify key metrics and business performance questions to be answered by data insights, and translate these into requirements. This will be in response to requests by stakeholders, as well as proactive input by the D&A team.
- Work with a range of stakeholders in SSP, IT and other Stryker functions to determine data requirements to allow the metrics and insights to be built, across the Stryker Data & Analytics architecture
- Interpret key business data sets
- Develop and deploy reports and dashboards to deliver data-backed insights, on request and/or proactively
- Deliver insights to SSP business stakeholders on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements, based on quantitative data analysis
- Perform statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
- Work with stakeholders in the business and in IT to help design processes that ensure data quality is maintained
- Perform testing on datasets and key analytic products (reports, dashboards etc) when required to as part of a project change
- Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives, initially focused on Awards/Bonus automation and working to a wider focus as capacity permits.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred
- Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or similar position
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SQL and database tools like Excel
- Experience with Analytics tools, particularly Microsoft applications like PowerBI
- Experience with statistical analysis tools like R or Python is an advantage
- Experience within Finance and Operations highly advantageous
