Inside Sales Systems Engineer Our Sales Engineers are a critical asset of the sales team in North America and have a primary responsibility to assist Inside Sales reps with the technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Inside Sales Systems Engineers drive awareness to Juniper solutions, architectures, products and services. Working as one of our Inside Sales Systems Engineers, your technical experience will support the assigned sales objectives, and you will serve as a fundamental technical resource for our regional sales effort, being able to drive sales and promote the Juniper solutions to Customers and Business Partners. Location: Onsite in Durham, NC Duties and Responsibilities
- The candidate will mainly be working as Sales Systems Engineer for the Inside Commercial Sales team based in Durham, NC.
- The role is office-based and requires full technical sales support of the Inside Commercial Sales Executives and Sales Development Reps.
- You will prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers, which may include the preparation and execution of remote Demos and Proof of Concept.
- Engage with customers and their use case and propose industry-leading solutions design and architectures.
- Create and validate bill of material using configuration tools and automated templates.
- OWN customer RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and create both high-level and occasionally more detailed designs for customers and partners.
- Build a long-lasting trust relationship with Juniper customers and business partners.
- Is a self-motivated, self-starter with high levels of initiative.
- High energy level, dynamic personality, action-oriented, wants to work in a dynamic and fast-pace customer-focused environment. Possesses a willingness to be coached.
- Maintains open and transparent communication and is well-organized and is strong in follow through.
- Results oriented/driven, capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Independent, yet a standout colleague and dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Experience with modern network cloud-based technologies, switching, routing and network security.
- Operational experience with a minimum of 4 years.
- Able to articulate and differentiate between Juniper and other manufacturers.
- Working understanding of Junos
- Senior level operational experience in at least one of the following
- Routing/WAN
- Data Center Switching
- Wireless Architecture
- Desired, bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering or Computer Science subject areas with relevant industry certifications.
- Able to prioritize activities based on needs of the client
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation as well recommending modifications/edits.
- Strong presentation skills whether in-person or virtual.
- Knowledge of MIST with experience using the platform.
- Ability to demonstrate a product, at length to assist in educating customers.
- Prior technical sales experience a plus.
