About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use):09 The Impact: This role offers an experienced software developer the chance to influence the direction of the Investor Access (IA) platform within GMG (Global Markets Group) as we transition to Agile methodologies and cutting-edge technologies. As a software engineer on the IA team, you'll cultivate a cohesive team dynamic and utilize your collaborative skills while closely collaborating with internal business partners to improve our flagship product. This position involves modernizing our technology stack, introducing new features, and optimizing our solution in the cloud. What’s in it for you: Technically as a .Net Full Stack Developer, you will apply existing and emerging technologies to build mission critical solutions. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining market leading Investor Access platform using Microsoft’s .NET Framework and .Net Core. Your strong proficiency with ASP.NET, .Net Core, Web API, C#, SQL, and AWS will be used extensively in this role. In addition to the development work, you will be required to take on initiatives and collaborate extensively with leads, stakeholders and within the development team to achieve positive outcomes. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, inspiring excitement. Responsibilities:
- Develop, and implement heavily transactional and multi-tiered Web applications.
- All aspects of database development (Stored procedures, performance turning etc.)
- Provide level 2 & 3 support for your application, working closely with product and technical leads.
- Assist the Technical Leads group in refining technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and other members of Dev Team to further value proposition of our applications.
- Work with Architecture team to modernize the application and optimize our solution.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent)
- 5+ Years in building large scale web-based systems in a Microsoft Environment (ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, & SQL Server or related)
- Solid experience with ASP.NET/.Net Core and full-scale web application development
- Ability to effectively communication both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment and ability to work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Angular 2+
- Data access through ADO.NET, Entity Framework or other ORM’s
- WCF, Windows Services
- Integration services experience, especially with Kafka and AWS Queues
- Financial domain knowledge
