How will you make an impact in this role? The Manager, Global Tax Strategic Initiatives will be part of the Global Tax organization and will be responsible for leading and executing initiatives by driving the delivery of key project outcomes. These initiatives may include, but are not limited to, process redesign, technology upgrades, workflow management and regulatory changes. This role will have significant exposure to global stakeholders and senior leaders. While the projects will change over time, a strong set of core project management skills is required. Principal Accountabilities
- Driving initiatives that involve process transformation, improve control and compliance, and optimize the use of technology
- Analyzing complex business problems, offering thought leadership, and partnering with Tax Teams to generate and present implementable solutions
- Understanding change management needs for each initiative and developing strategies to enable the project teams to implement change activities effectively
- Developing communications (e.g., presentations, scorecards, etc.) to share progress of initiatives
- Act as leader within the broader Global Tax teams to expand skill-sharing, and promote learnings
- Project management acumen: intellectual curiosity and ability to focus on detail while keeping the big picture in perspective, both proactive and adaptable, adept at relationship building and effective communication, ability to influence those not under your direct authority
- Proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully and within a matrixed organization
- Strong relationship leadership with a track record of positively collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners, including senior leaders
- Team player comfortable working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, within a cross-border/virtual team environment
- Ability and willingness to operate independently in a complex matrix environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting, finance or Mergers & Acquisitions is helpful
- 4+ years of professional experience with 2+ years of experience in project focused environment required
- Big 4 and/or consulting experience preferred
- BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, or closely related fields (or alternatively an MBA)
- Candidate location is NY and Hybrid
