Your Role: The primary role of this position is to ensure the successful running of the tech function in the geographic region of responsibility. Key responsibilities include: Collaboration with local business partners:
- Develop strong and trusted relationships with local key business partners.
- Ensure active dialog between Tech and business on strategic priorities, execution, and expectation levels.
- Represent AllTech in local business management meeting, board meeting or regulatory meeting as necessary
- Connect AllTech and local business teams in terms of:
- Evangelizing AllTech’s services and practices to local business leader Advocating and implementing global tech initiatives at local level.
- Advocating and implementing global tech initiative at local level
- Reporting local tech issues, changes and events back to global & regional tech head.
- Ensure alignment between local tech team and global/ regional teams.
- Lead local tech team through:
- Coaching and mentoring as appropriate.
- Hosting regular team meeting
- Reviewing staff’s compensation plan and discussing potential anomalies with Regional Head of Tech
- Participating in interviewing, performance evaluation and disciplinary action if needed
- Promoting staffs’ successes & achievements; escalating concerns to Regional Head of Tech
- Attend global and regional tech leadership meetings.
- Serve as the primary local point of contact for AllTech
- Share local perspective on proposed IVZ-wide policies and practices for priority & proper applicability; provide a solution when necessary.
- Serve as the local point of contact in Tech for business continuity/ security incidents.
- Working with regional business security officer (BSO) in driving alignment of information security and maintain the culture in which end users, managers, and Tech professionals all make good decisions involving information security risk.
- Serving as the local point of contact and escalating for all business information security matters; partnering with BSO as the coordinator of business security incident reporting and as the advisor on emergency event to protect the business.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in technology related disciplines
- 12+ years’ experience in leading technology function in a global financial service organization.
- Knowledge of asset management and industry related tech best practice and latest trend.
- 8+ years’ management experience in a regional team set up.
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Experience in leading change programs
- A good team player with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong leadership capability and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
