About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use):09 S&P Global Market Intelligence The Role: Software Development / Engineering The Team: The Issuenet team possesses a unique network of member banks linked by API / web based technology that synchronizes deal and orderbook information between syndicate desks. The Impact: In this role, you will participate in a fast-paced Agile development team, building SaaS financial API / web applications and services. Your main responsibilities will be to design, develop, and implement applications for software solutions that scale across to support a huge customer base as well as learn and leverage the current methodologies and technologies, including Scrum and BDD. This specific opportunity is with the Fixed Income team. What’s in it for you:
- Engineer solutions using server-side Java, Kotlin and Angular.
- Implement Cloud-based development practices with AWS Lambda, ECS, Fargate, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Develops and executes unit and integration automation tests.
- Works with developers and product owners closely to review application changes.
- Able to quickly learn new technology and business areas and to apply these to new projects and products within the Fixed Income business/technology arena.
- Design, develop, and implement heavily transactional and API / web-based applications.
- All aspects of database development (modelling, stored procedures, performance tuning etc.)
- Implement Cloud-based development practices with AWS Lambda, ECS, Fargate, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Provide level 2 & 3 support for your application, working closely with teams.
- Collaborate with scrum teams and product owners closely to review application changes.
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of software development
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin and Angular coding practices
- Experience with AWS and DevOps
- Experience with SaaS, Financial, Web, or Cloud applications
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to advocate quality initiatives and best practices including test automation, Continuous Integration, and Sprint Doneness within an Agile Development environment.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, GraphQL
- Experience working with offshore resources.
- Financial domain knowledge
- Experience with Atlassian or similar toolsets on an Agile project is a plus.
