As a Senior Financial Consultant within the Expense Analytics organization, you will provide OI finance and operations organizations with key cost analytics and metrics that will drive improved decision making. This role will support the IT pillar across multiple Market Performance Partnership (MPP) clients totaling billions of dollars in TCV. These long-term partnerships are critical to the success of OptumInsight and are highly visible with senior leadership. Our latest 10-year partnership is with Allina Health, a nonprofit Health System, in Minnesota and Wisconsin. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- IT Pillar financial responsibilities spanning across multiple long-term MPP clients totaling billions of dollars in TCV
- Scaling financial operations related to IT Delivery across MPP clients
- Monitoring of financial spend in comparison to contract to ensure that no financial leakage occurs
- Work with operational leaders to monitor financial performance compared to deal pro forma and targets
- Manage delivery plans against deal pro forma to determine risks and opportunities that could impact financial performance
- Detailed oversight and understanding of Market Performance Partnership cost structures will drive beneficial financial outcomes
- Partner closely with the operations leaders to develop, recommend and establish saving strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of financial and operational management experience
- Experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
- Experience working across teams and business partners
- Experience working collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
- Work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
- Immediate experience with Microsoft (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business
- Healthcare, Technology, and / or Revenue Cycle Management experience
