Job Description The Technology Workflows team is defining and delivering the modern digital enterprise for our customers. We are responsible for the portfolio of products and solutions that serve CIO, CTOs, CDOs, CSOs and their staff of technologists and operators. Our products span a multi-billion-dollar portfolio covering Service Management (ITSM), Operations Management (ITOM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Asset Management (ITAM), Security, Risk, Cloud Observability, and Data Foundations. We are passionate about helping technologists meet their goals and architect the digital future of their organizations. We are looking for a VP, of Technology Workflows Strategic Operations, who will lead 20+ talented Strategy & Operation professionals serving eight distinct businesses, and be a trusted advisor to GMs and Leaders across Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and others. The candidate must have relentless curiosity, exceptional team leadership & talent development skills, the ability to lead and influence at the Executive level, a get-it-done attitude, and strong collaboration skills. This role will lead on strategic, business, and operational aspects of the business. Your team will solve complex business problems, orchestrate setting strategy, plan for execution, coordinate setting annual operating plans, and ensure execution through operating rhythms. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate our impact and directly contribute to our overall business objectives. What you get to do in this role:
- Be a key player in driving the success of Technology Workflows as the leader of Strategy & Operations
- Thought partner with the SVP & GM of Technology Workflows and his leadership team on strategy and business execution, coordinating with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
- Lead a team of 20+ Strategic Ops professionals and own cross-portfolio business operations across 7 business units & their General Managers
- Identify value-creation opportunities across our business. Analyze and design strategies to capture value, iterate with cross-functional teams, then coordinate delivery across functions and ensure quality of output
- Your team will own strategic planning, and ensure execution of the operational plan partnering with FP&A, Talent Acquisition, and Sales teams to manage the end-to-end business execution, budget planning, resource portfolio, and hiring allocations
- Lead executive-level programs and initiatives, including communications plan and timelines
- Drive through your people and talent initiatives and internal communications. Examples include All-Hands, Employee Surveys, Employee awards, Monthly newsletters, team offsites, and employee engagement
- 12+ years of relevant work experience (or 7+ years post-MBA or equivalent higher degree), preferably in tech strategy/ops functions, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity.
- Strong preference for leadership across multiple large business units covering top-line and bottom-line financial success as well as operational success
- Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp on product portfolios, understand key business drivers of performance and efficiency, rapidly advising on and partnering with product leaders to make excellent business decisions
- Strong business & analytical background and creative problem-solving skills
- A solid track record of leading teams and developing talent with inclusive leadership
- Experience working within the product development lifecycle. Experience thriving in a matrixed environment, with the ability to establish credibility with product, engineering, and GTM leaders, and an understanding of operational and go-to-market implications of your recommendations.
- Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills, with an ability to synthesize, with creative problem-solving skills
- Experience building business cases and analyzing financial metrics in the technology industry
- Experience creating annual financial plans
- Strong communication skills - both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions
