- Supporting the Product Safety and Airworthiness Lead in managing and administering the Product Safety process across the site and interfaces into the Actuation Product Safety process.
- Assessing data input requirements for Safety Risk Analysis to support the management of safety issues at the site's Product Integrity Committee and Actuation Product Safety Board.
- Participating in the development of Standard Work, lessons learned, processes, tools, skills, and best practices.
- Supporting Product Safety Promotion activities across the site and Actuation Systems.
- Provide regulatory guidance for AS9100, CAA/EASA Part 21, CS/FAR 25/27/29/33/E, and SMS.
- Conduct airworthiness reviews and approve:
- Declarations of Design and Performance (DDP)
- Technical Publications such as Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and operator communications
- Rotable Parts Certificates
- Sealed Operation and Frozen Process Change Requests
- Salvage and Repair Schemes
- Offer expert support for the site's Design Organisation Approval process and any Design Organisation Interface arrangements with Type Certificate holders.
- Engineering or mathematics background with a strong knowledge of Airworthiness.
- Familiarity with the regulatory framework governing aerospace operations in both the UK and EU.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as the role involves interaction with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in using report writing and spreadsheet applications is necessary.
- Experience working in a regulatory environment with a focus on compliance.
- Understanding of UK CAA/EASA Part 21 requirements and Certification Specifications and Regulations. (Candidates with a good working knowledge of equivalent regulations from Nuclear, Rail, or Automotive sectors are encouraged to apply.)
- Proficiency in understanding the mathematics associated with Safety and Reliability engineering, including statistics, probability theory, and mathematical modeling.
