Date Posted:2024-05-06 Country:United States of America Location:HNY32: US136-Bohemia, NY 355 Knickerbocker Avenue , Bohemia, NY, 11716 USA Position Role Type:Onsite Reporting to the Senior Materials, Planning, & SIOP Manager, this position requires an experienced Logistics Supervisor who will be responsible for the physical movement and management of material through receiving, stores, operations, finished goods and shipping. This individual requires analytical skills to drive efficiency and accuracy improvements in the above processes within the Bohemia Interiors Division of Collins Aerospace. May be eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring with the logistics team of approximately 18 associates.
- Maintain daily schedules where receiving is current, along with kit pulls, and shipments completed on time.
- Manage an effective cycle counting program meeting or exceeding minimum accuracy thresholds.
- Complete the implementation of a barcoded Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) application.
- Oversee the replenishment of line side inventory for backflushed production lines.
- Oversee the effective use and training on various carrier shipping applications (Fedex / UPS) and customer portals.
- Ensure trade and regulatory compliance for international and hazardous shipments are met.
- Develop, maintain, and train associates on standard work instructions.
- Manage, monitor, and authorize overtime as needed to meet business requirements.
- Conduct periodic / annual employee reviews along with creating development plans for associates.
- Maintain a Safe Workplace in accordance with EH&S requirements and best practices.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Prior experience working within the aerospace industry and/or a manufacturing environment.
- Prior logistics/materials management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean) activities is preferred
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- APICS or other applicable industry certifications.
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
