The selected candidate will support the Interiors business and the individual will play a role in supporting the procurement of associated parts with assigned suppliers. This is an onsite position located in Colorado Springs, CO. May be eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability and/or program execution.
- Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies and services.
- Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Assembles price proposals, financial reports and other data and information for analysis.
- Supports the preparation of request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries
- Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
- Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes; to include procurement, sourcing, supplier performance.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or the Aerospace industry (this can be from internships).
- Experience/Knowledge with Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
