Life Science Data Engineering team currently supports data pipeline making $66+M in revenue and $15+M in IOI, with ongoing 2024+ growth of financial goals. This role is linked to the LSDE goals of reducing product latency by >10% and increasing speed to market, as well as increasing active patient lives in LS products. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Design new data pipelines, systems, and infrastructure on AWS
- Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and costs of data infrastructure and ETL processes
- Develop innovative prototypes and production-ready data applications
- Automate and orchestrate end-to-end analytic workflows
- Enhance data infrastructure with robust data governance, quality, security, and metadata
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Monitor performance and improve data assets and processing methods
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on the data and analytics platform
- 4+ years of experience designing, building and testing ETL pipelines
- 4+ years of experience optimizing, scaling and improving ETL pipelines
- 4+ years of experience providing code review and documenting technical designs
- 4+ years of experience working with healthcare data
- 3+ years of experience developing with AWS services like EC2, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Spark
- Experience designing and implementing automation systems
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, DevOps
- Proven ability to mentor and guide technical teams
- Proven excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management skills
