Salesforce’s Global Trade Team seeks an experienced trade compliance professional to lead the development and implementation of Salesforce’s Customs Program globally, and assist with export control compliance. Your Impact:
- Drafting and revising Customs policies and procedures;
- Performing post-clearance self audits;
- Coordinating across multi-stakeholder enterprise groups globally to implement and enable on Customs processes;
- Supporting day-to-day Customs functions;
- Looking out for global customs regulatory changes;
- Developing, implementing, and presenting Customs trainings to partners;
- Coordinating between key internal and external Customs partners;
- Being responsible for the company’s Customs-related record-keeping;
- Together with the Global Trade team, developing and adapting enterprise-wide Customs strategies; and
- Assist the Global Trade team in managing export control processes, such as export control classification, reporting, and denied party screening.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Customs compliance management, including HTS classification assignment, valuation methodologies, and country of origin determination;
- Proven track record of implementing effective customs compliance processes and programs;
- A strong understanding of import processes, required declarations, and documentation;
- A strong understanding of international shipping processes and Incoterms;
- Experience in supporting Customs audits, both external and internal;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to effectively collaborate across functions with key collaborators to implement Customs processes;
- Proven success in managing projects and large initiatives, and ability to work independently;
- Experience in sanctions & export control compliance work is a plus.
