Job Description Performs customer product account support and other administrative activities for one or more designated business segments of the Company. Ensures the accurate and timely flow of information required for efficient company operations and positive customer interaction within specific customer programs and account levels. Coordinates order activity and service requirements, including development and costing, sample coordination and approval, quote development and follow-up, order processing, and coordination of delivery requirements. Performs general administrative activities, including telephone, mail, and packages.
- Works with Merchandiser(s) on day-to-day activities of specified accounts including processing art requests, new product sample requests, quoting needs and order placement and inquiries. Engages with Design, Development, and Product Design Engineering to ensure that products meet customer cost, aesthetic, quality, and performance requirements. Communicates and coordinates with manufacturing and sourcing to verify delivery and expedite products or deliveries. Provides updated information to Sales as appropriate.
- Interacts with assigned customer accounts to cultivate relationships that achieve both Customer and Company goals.
- Understands Company product specifications, product configuration and associated tools including product configurators, art templates and collaterals. Assesses incoming information to ensure that customer requirements align with Company manufacturing capabilities and capacities.
- Performs order management activities (bulk and sample) by ensuring that all orders entered into Company's database are accurate, approved, priced properly and have the appropriate terms and conditions of the contract listed. Ensures that customer delivery requirements are within predetermined lead times based on market segment. Uses appropriate tools to verify customer delivery dates, follows up and provides customers with timely updates.
- Ensures information in Company database (NetSuite) is maintained accurately and updated when appropriate.
- Implements and maintains spreadsheets and other program management tools to effectively manage and communicate program information between the Customer and the Company.
- Investigates and works with appropriate internal departments to resolve customer issues, including delivery, shipment, credit, billing, and quality issues. Coordinates and prepares RMAs as required.
- Performs administrative support activities for the general office, including telephone, mail, and package distribution. Provides general clerical support for Merchandising, including filing, data entry and other tasks as required. Maintains kitchen and office supplies. Assists in meeting and event planning.
- Travels to account locations as required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university with and a minimum of 2-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues affecting customer orders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Previous merchandising, sales, customer service or technical experience either in the organization itself or in a comparable position in a related industry required.
- Must be competent in the use of computerized systems and Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database programs, and Outlook). Skills in Adobe Illustrator preferred.
- Up to 10% travel required.
