Background on the PositionThis Director role is part of the U.S. Banks Enterprise Risk team (Second Line of Defense), withing Firm Risk Management division, which is responsible for managing the Banks' Risk Governance Framework, Board reporting and regulatory management. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team supports the enterprise-wide risk management initiatives for the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer/Head of Non-Financial Risks. The Enterprise Risk - Director role is focused on supporting the Risk Governance Framework, as well as Data Governance function ensuring that the business and risk management functions maintain appropriate practices to produce high-quality reporting that meet the standards set forth by the regulators.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe role offers an opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across Firm Risk Management that support the U.S. Banks. Key responsibilities include: - Support the continuous improvement and enhancement of the U.S. Banks Risk Governance Framework (RGF) including Risk Appetite Statements, Risk Assessments, and Risk Metrics - Manage RGF adherence process to assess effectiveness of the RGF- Conduct review & challenge of business and risk management practices to ensure high-quality reporting- Oversight of compliance with data risk regulations including BCBS 239- Maintain tracking of data initiatives, data issues, and data quality metrics- Review policies and procedures for accuracy and consistency- Manage an Analyst in terms of personal development, oversee production to ensure deliverables are on time and are of high quality, and provide timely feedback- Manage escalations, and show a strong inclination towards problem solving and innovation- Support ad-hoc request pertaining to RGF or DataQualifications> Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in Business, Finance, or similar> 6+ years of experience in global and complex settings in the Financial Services industry (Control, Regulatory, Risk, Compliance, or Internal Audit background preferred)> Experience in managing, leading a team of minimum 2-3 people in a global organization> Strong oral and written communication skills> Detailed oriented with exceptional organizational skills> High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel > Understanding of data hygiene best practices> Familiarity with databases (SQL, DB2, Teradata, or other platforms)> Experience in prioritization of technology initiatives based on business impact and criticality> Strong interpersonal skill with ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at various levels throughout the organization
