This position is for an Operations Program Manager (OPM) supporting a Resilient Navigation Solutions (RNS) program in the Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) Largo, Florida. Primary Responsibilities:
- The OPM support role is expected to oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between program management, project team, and factory management.
- The OPM assesses project issues and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress.
- The OPM will make strategic decisions for the direction of the program related to manufacturing plans, including representing the factory in make buy/where decisions and technical/producibility trades and Cost Reduction Initiatives.
- This role is involved with problem solving and requires interaction with multiple functions including Engineering, Supply Chain, Value Stream Managers and Program Managers.
- Specific tasks include determining and reporting material coverage, establishing material requirements based on factory demand, Estimates at Complete, and Cost Account Management.
- The position will be expected to interact daily with functional and factory resources to ensure all program requirements are met and ensure that all supported contracts meet their delivery schedule, cost, and performance requirements.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant Operations and/or Business experience.
- PRISM/Manufacturing Requirements System – Must be able to perform material demand analysis, determine product build status, and know how to access and understand planning tools.
- Ability to perform Touch Labor analysis.
- Experience guiding in an operations, manufacturing, program, cross-functional, or equivalent environment
- Flexibility and agility to work in an undefined development environment where processes and procedures may not always exist
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) - Provide Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance analysis for the respective programs. Forecast and report on Bookings and Net Sales for area of control
- Earned Value Certification
- Risk and Opportunity management for area of control
- Advanced computer skills (MS Excel, MS Power Point)
- Proposal writing and estimating
- Shop Floor Control Systems - To monitor progress, NCs, and current execution status
- Experience with processes such as IPDS, Common PDM, R6s, PRISM/Apex, VM and CMES
- Documentation Systems - To validate As-Built configurations, alternates, ECNs, and change history
- Knowledge of transition to manufacturing planning/scheduling concepts
- Prior motivation skills in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Experience with the implementation, overseeing, planning, and engineering efforts associated with a manufacturing organization
- Problem solving, key team members, and ability to interface across all functions, and Team developing
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application.
- Have prior experience in functional area of interest.
- Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position.
- Background check and drug screen required (every external new hire in the U.S.)
