Job Purpose
The position manages the identification and implementation of efficiencies and improvements utilising manufacturing Lean process tools, and the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) transformation efforts. This position implements and supports actions that bring about improvements to operation and process which may include, but are not limited to, safety, quality, delivery, cycle time, and inventory levels
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understanding of existing end to end processes within the business.
- Development of a set of metrics used to baseline current performance.
- Identification and implementation of process improvements in manufacturing areas
- Identification and implementation of efficiencies in non-manufacturing areas
- Ownership of the EnerSys Acquisition Request process for the site & progressing items through this system
- Working in conjunction with facilities manager, the implementation of new equipment, layouts, tools and techniques
- Liaison as site EOS representative to wider EnerSys organisation
- Lead & facilitate Rapid Improvement Events (RIE)
- Utilisation of Lean principles in a complex space manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent role experience > 5years
Knowledge / Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Process Engineering tools & techniques such as Six Sigma, RCA, fishbone analysis etc
- Ability to conduct end-to-end process evaluations.
- Good working knowledge of Business Quality
- Management Systems standards such as ISO9001/EN9100.
- Project & process oriented

- An ability to work in a multi-project environment; to effectively prioritise and work to detailed scheduled plans and tight deadlines.
