What you get to do in this role:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures in Snowflake, optimising data flow for cross-functional teams.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and scripts to support data transformation, aggregation, and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and drive process and reporting enhancements, develop new tools, and collaborate across other Analytics teams to help scale the process with ServiceNow’s growth
- Adhere to all documented architecture, design & deployment standards & processes to ensure compliance with policies
- Partner with the Global team to help implement solutions for end-user adoption
- Develop functional subject matter expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes
- Responsible for troubleshooting data issues and conducting root cause analysis when reporting data in question.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and strategy development
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, recommending and implementing improvements to data systems and processes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar
- 7+ years of experience in database architecture, data warehousing, consulting, business intelligence or analytics space with experience in PL/SQL, Snowflake
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development activities like reporting, creating views, SQL queries, stored procs/table functions
- Experience working on SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Data Replication, Data-sharing & Data-ingestion into Snowflake
- Experience with Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Security & Performance Optimization
- Advanced programming skills in Python, including experience with data libraries and frameworks like Pandas, numpy, Sklearn, matplot, seaborn
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles and best practices.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams across different geos
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and in a broader geographically disperse team
- Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in analytics technologies and the ability to learn new technology
- Data Science exposure is desired to build ML models
- Snowflake core advance certification is a plus
- Experience developing dashboards in Tableau/Power BI is a plus
- GenAI knowledge is a big plus
