Expedia's Strategy team is looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to help us deliver the best travel experience on the web. Do you want to help people go places? Come travel with us! Sitting within the Product & Technology organization, this role supports our Media Solutions (MeSo)advertising platformand product suite (part of our Partner Product division). Operatingat the intersection of travel, technology, and marketing, MeSoconnects global advertisers to travelersthrough industry-leading solutions.The role will support the MeSoproduct team in setting objectives and priorities, including providing product direction, investment priorities, progress reporting, competitive analysis, and long-term planning. The Strategy team works with local and global teams to set strategy and drive business goals. You will play a key role in leading company-wide strategic projects while working across divisions with senior members of the Marketing, Product, Technology, Account Management, and Finance teams. We will help you grow as a problem solver, relationship builder, and communicator with skills to drive projects successfully across a broad range of topics and personalities. What you'll do:
- Help craft and deliver strategic product plans and resulting roadmaps using data, imagination, and understanding of customer experience, industry, and e-commerce
- Lead strategic projects and investigations to drive the business forward
- Establish and own relationships with key internal partners
- Frame strategic tradeoffs both orally and in writing, while considering inputs from others - especially differing viewpoints
- Work as part of a team of strategists embedded with product owners and technologists
- Drive decision-making and alignment by working directly with senior leadership across Expedia Group
- Work closely with product leads to help define core MeSo capabilities to build and enable a successful GTM launch
- Closely track advertising and e-commerce trends to inform long-term product strategy
- In partnership with finance and planning, help allocate resources appropriately against key initiatives and estimate financial benefit & returns.
- Track highest priority initiatives through OKRs QoQ, ensuring line of sight to commercial realization across teams
- You are a team player who actively promotes & encourages diversity of thought
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related technical field preferred or equivalent related professional experience; MBA is a plus
- Experience developing and implementing advertising/media product strategies in a large e-commerce organization
- 5+ years in consulting, product management, or corporate strategy preferred
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- A demonstrated record of independently defining and conducting key analyses with light oversight
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate issues, including experience communicating complex information to senior leaders
