Description:
The Business Technology US Public Sector team is seeking a Senior Release Analyst with 2-4 years relevant experience working in an enterprise software development environment. This role will oversee the management and synchronization of our US Public Sector Salesforce environments and to lead our release management processes. This role is critical to ensuring our code bases and solutions remain in sync with solutions across the organization, maintaining the availability and currency of development and testing environments, managing the release of new features and updates, and providing coordination ownership for critical third party applications.
Responsibilities:
You must have an excellent understanding of software development life cycles and tools uses in managing IT environments, strong communication skills to effectively liaise between development teams, QA, operations, and other stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed. You must be proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing work, and meeting deadlines. This includes planning and coordinating environment maintenance, deployments, and upgrades. You must foster a collaborative atmosphere and ensure smooth hand-offs and integrations between teams.
You will be responsible for environment management, ensuring code bases are synchronized, managing lower environments and boundary systems to ensure they are current and properly configured, and oversee the maintenance and availability of development and testing environments to support continuous development and testing processes.
You will be responsible for release management including managing release processes for code and configuration deployments across Salesforce environments, coordinating and scheduling releases, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and timely delivery of updates, ensuring quality standards are met before deployments, and maintaining detailed documentation of release processes, schedules, and outcomes. You will also be responsible for providing coordination and ownership for critical third party applications in our production environment.
Your ability to quickly learn and communicate effectively with various business owners, technical staff members, and cross functional teams will help you to support our engineering teams to deliver cutting edge Salesforce.com products. To be successful in this position, you must be able to understand, investigate and solve complex problems and implement critical release and environment management processes.
This job requires that you be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You should be a continuous improvement champion and regularly assess the quality in your area and bring actionable improvement suggestions to the team's planning sessions.
What you’re really good at
Driving planning & delivery of high-quality enterprise IT software releases.
Planning and managing release schedules, project release dates and hypercare.
Proactively identifying and mitigating risks & removing obstacles to release.
Possess technical program management skills needed to drive cutovers.
Facilitating releases of varying size, complexity and duration by coordinating with multiple teams across IT functions.
Working closely with Product, Engineering and Operations alike to ensure their corresponding needs are being addressed, keeping in mind that proper control processes are in place.
Communicating plans and status, and calls out issues as required.
Constantly looking to improve release processes to drive highly efficient releases.
Contributing to the team's initiatives to meet defined goals.

Required Skills:
Experience working with technology and implementations for one (1) or more of the following enterprise IT application platforms: Salesforce.com, Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, Workday, MuleSoft, Data Warehouse and Adobe Experience Manager.
At least 2-4 years of IT Release Management experience in an enterprise IT application development environment.
Familiar with Service Management and change control processes.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with a reporting tool such as Tableau and working with data to use/build metrics.
Salesforce Admin and/or Force.com Platform Developer certification(s).
Experience in an Agile software development environment
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
Experience with Continuous Development and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) process
Good understanding of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and concepts
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task in a fast pace environment
