Date Posted:2024-05-09 Country:United States of America Location:HCO03: Mission Systems (Ejec Seating) 1225 Aeroplaza Drive , Colorado Springs, CO, 80916 USA Position Role Type:Hybrid This position is for an experienced professional in Program Management (Value Stream Leader) who will lead a key new program for the ejection seating business. The Senior Value Stream Leader, who works independently as the primary customer interface, who works independently, leads large programs, analyzes data, recommends resolutions for program problems, manages vendors, maintains progress reports, and participates in contract negotiation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Profit and Loss of large program value stream
- Leads risk and opportunity management for the program
- Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
- Leads large programs to support the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
- Establishes key performance indicators and directs work to achieve these targets
- Analyzes data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications
- Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) to Senior Leadership
- Implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology
- Identifies and addresses program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of programs Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives
- Manages vendors, when necessary, to support the program
- Directs all program phases from inception through completion Interfaces with customers for project requirements to ensure successful completion
- Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- PMP Certification Preferred
- EVMS Experience Preferred
- Prefer to current have or be able to capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
