Job Summary:
This role reports to the Executive Director, Operations for Surveillance, and is a critical member of the Space, Imaging and Microelectronics (SIM) Leadership Team. This role will need to develop a close working relationship with the VP of SIM to understand the operational vision. In close partnership with the BCT and SEAKR GM’s, the leader will be responsible for manufacturing operations execution across the BCT and SEAKR businesses. In partnership with the BCT and SEAKR GM, this role is responsible for integrating operations, ensuring business strategies, financial objectives and functional standard work is incorporated in all aspects of Manufacturing and Operations execution. Additionally, this individual will have a close working relationship with the Director of Operations over the remainder of SIM businesses (RVS and SUI), to ensure maximum benefit to the SSBU via synergies and alignment of best practices and resources. The leader will need to exhibit transparency, collaboration, and continuous communication to ensure effective integration and improved implementation.
This role will be on-site in Aurora, Colorado area and will require some travel across multiple locations of the US to Lafayette and Centennial, in support of program offices and factories within Colorado.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Work collaboratively with supply chain counterpart to negotiate terms, delivery schedules, solve problems, requirements specifications, and engineering processes and develop relationships.
- Develop operating model improvements for forming highly complex technology based EOIR technology products.
- Identify, assess and capitalize on manufacturing capabilities and program synergies to maximize effectiveness and productivity across multiple organizations.
- Provide oversight and review all manufacturing metrics for in accordance with Safety, Quality, People, Delivery and Cost.
- Oversee and manage engineering Risks and Opportunities across the program, leveraging the company to mitigate key risks and capture opportunities.
- Manufacturing and operations leadership, training and support to manage key metrics e.g. On-time delivery, aged WIP, Ops program EACs, pool expense/base ratios, overhead budgets, safety performance, MRP index, red rack, rework, scrap and cross functional engagement in forecasting (S&OP) and execution (S&OE), bid and proposal (HPU's), etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years’ experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a government US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in areas of broad operational organization in a cross-functional manufacturing environment or businesses.
- Detailed understanding of MRP applications and identifying the necessary resources to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification and Program Leadership Tier 4 Certification.
- Excellent communicator and team-builder with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated success leading manufacturing team in a rapidly changing and demanding environment as a proactive problem solver.

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
