What are we looking for?The Area Vice President of Sales RoASEAN is responsible for leading 5 Countries (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam) with a particular focus on developing and engaging our employees, partners and customers. This role is a critical member of the ASEAN Sales Leadership Team and is the main representative for the Salesforce brand in the country and has four primary areas of responsibilities: Strengthening our brand, Driving growth, Customer Success, Developing our Ecosystem and Inspiring/supporting our Ohana and bringing together the full power of Salesforce. The candidate will have proven experience in sales leadership in enterprise sales, leading high performance teams. We will also consider years of experience, ability to work in a cross-functional environment and ability to drive activities that create a culture of performance and success. The role will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of ASEAN. Salesforce BRAND
- Represent Salesforce as the leader in the local market supporting the PR strategy
- Be active as spokesperson at key external events in the countries (i.e. World Tour, Basecamps, etc)
- Ensure Marketing budget is aligned to the priorities of the country plan
- Lead the operating rhythm of the countries - lead weekly forecast calls, report regularly on progress and activities, hold accountability for delivering a financial plan for the countries, drive demand generation activities, develop and execute successful sales campaigns
- Coordinate year-end planning and create a Go-to-Market plan for RoAsean (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam) that is suitable for the next wave of growth and in line with the corporate and cross-functional guidelines and requirements
- Drive Country Strategy & Execution
- Be involved in Country Leader Community to share best practices
- Develop CXO Community, enable C-Level Relationships.
- Orchestrate the Salesforce ecosystem to drive large deals and nurture and foster critical C-level relationships
- Focus on ecosystem: advocate for customer success & partner resources, drive developer community and trailblazers
- Provide guidance and transparency to country organisation through all-hands calls, communications, etc.
- Own all activities and budget to create a high-performing culture where people feel proud to be part of the growth story
- Facilitate the talent flow
- Hire high-calibre talent and coach and enable new leaders and account executives
- Drive inclusion & collaboration
- A recognized leader with a proven track record in building and leading large, complex, matrixed sales organizations recognized for both their culture and results (growth and overachieving quota)
- Day-to-day, driving and managing a sales business with a strong cadence of deal closure on a monthly and quarterly basis; track record of consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals.
- Strategic sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple S/W offerings, while building satisfied, loyal and referenceable customers across the enterprise, mid market and SMB sectors in RoAsean (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam) Customer success orientation.
- ·Significant experience in enterprise software and/or applications sales (ideally in a CRM, ERP or B2B company); ability to sell to C-suite and possessing high level executive presence.
- Consultative sales skills and ability to construct and articulate strong business case and ROI, strategic account planning and execution skills.
- Excellent operational/analytical skills - reporting, forecasting, data analysis skills; operations management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in working with partner ecosystems from GSI’s to ISV’s
- C-level engagement and negotiation, account strategy, domain expertise, executive selling, large deal management and team leadership.
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal and people leadership skills
