Job Summary: The Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) team is looking for a Principle Specialist, Contracts who seizes the chance to immerse themselves with several top talent teams to accept and take on some of Raytheon’s most unique contractual opportunities. The AFS Contracts team focus is on key competitive pursuits as well as the execution of development and production efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, establishing critical franchises for Raytheon. The program requires a strategic, forward-thinking Contracts point of contact that can provide support to a complex program area. - Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Conduct proposal reviews and coordination
- Support contract negotiations
- Support program management and execution reviews
- Provide general contract administration support
- Work closely with the Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit, and negotiate pricing proposals
- Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
- Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and
- Experience with negotiation and administration of contracts and/or subcontracts preferably in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFAR) contracts
- Active and transferable U.S. Government issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust
- Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
- Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
- Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals
- Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
