Date Posted:2024-04-25 Country:United States of America Location:HMN01: S&IS (Sensors) - Burnsville 14300 Judicial Rd, Burnsville, MN, 55306 USA Position Role Type:Onsite The Avionics Repair Technician is responsible for assessing, repairing, testing and documenting repair material in an FAA regulated environment. They will participate in high-level technical work with little or no instruction. This is a 2nd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00-11:30 PM. Position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers.
- Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices.
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Troubleshooting and testing of repair units.
- Use electronic test and troubleshooting equipment.
- Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs.
- Participate on project teams.
- Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgments are required.
- Must be highly-motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Successfully work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO.
- Responsible for moderate level of planning.
- Typically requires a HS Diploma with a minimum of 2 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.

- Must have an electronics background with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
- AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience with aviation manufacturing or repair is preferred.
- Holds or has ability to obtain Preliminary MRB authorization.
- Experience reviewing CMM/SB documentation and creating mark-ups.
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
