At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.
This position is responsible for increasing Freddie Mac’s sphere of influence with sellers by providing consultative expertise externally to key decision makers and internally to the seller engagement team. This position is also responsible for understanding how Freddie Mac technology aligns with seller strategy and goals to maximize technology adoption and business outcomes for Freddie Mac and our Sellers.
This will be responsible for defining strategy, consulting, and sharing client insights with the ultimate goal of building a client experience that encourages additional volume to be sold to Freddie Mac, meeting our mission, and managing our risk.
This position works closely with the internal product management team, digital technology team, seller pods, training, marketing, and mission teams to provide customer insights, provide feedback on product strategy, and drive implementation plans with sellers and software partners. Externally, this position will interact with senior level executives and represent Freddie Mac at conferences, events, and webinars.

Our Impact:In this role, the Seller Engagement team directly supports the Freddie Mac Single-Family Acquisitions effort to deliver on our mission through engagement with sellers with products and tools that support the expansion of equitable and sustainable homeownership.
Your Impact:Establish strategic direction, train pods, and deliver trusted advisor engagements:
- Develop strategy for implementation and client segmentation to ensure a high caliber of customer service is provided at optimum cost/benefit level for sellers in various target groups.
- Leverage trusted advisor engagements to achieve key company goals with sellers.
- See opportunities for engagements using data and sharing those insights with the pods and sellers.
- Track outcomes of engagements to ensure Freddie Mac and lender receives benefit from the time and expertise in the engagements.
- Serve as external product expert for Freddie Mac technology, products and services for customers.
- Consult with sellers to solve complex problems through the use of subject matter expertise, business process design and leveraging Freddie Mac products
Provide client insights and seller business perspective within Freddie Mac to assist with product and digital tool development:
- Serve as subject matter expert / point of contact for technology offerings.
- Represent primary voice of the customer that is utilized to influence internal strategy, corporate decisions and direction.
- Lead change, leverage vision, industry knowledge and market perspective.
- Maintain responsibility for the entire technology implementation cycle from identifying potential customer opportunities, accomplishing the sale, overseeing the integration of the technology into customer workflows and processes, as well as ongoing focus on adoption of our technology tools at various points in the user cycle.
- Assist with strategy, delivery, and content for CX interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Champion the sellers’ perspective in a responsible manner regarding internal discussions on product and technology strategies and features.
- Ensure that seller satisfaction with our products and services is enhanced through continued responsiveness to meeting their needs.
- Understand implications of broad market trends and competitive developments from all the sellers’ viewpoint.
- Assist with creating business cases related to the value the product or enhancement will bring to sellers.
- Define and execute both targeted marketing and customer integration strategies across all customer segments, groupings, and levels of complexities to promote the adoption and ongoing usage of Freddie Mac technology and technology related products.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 8 to 10 years of related professional experience in primary mortgage market, mortgage technology, and consulting.
- 3 or more years of related leadership and/or management experience
- Strategic understanding of Industry direction/behavior.
- Strong strategic grasp of mortgage industry and Freddie Mac's ecosystem.
- Strong consulting experience with deep understanding of the business and Freddie Mac products
- Strong leadership, including ability to lead and inspire people, influence change, and collaborate across teams.
- Experience driving high-visibility, mission critical projects.
- Coaching and mentoring skills to train internal teams on product implementation best practices.
- Ability to anticipate and solve complex problems with proven execution skills.
- Ability to engage with senior leadership within the organization as well as out outside the organization.
- Current mortgage industry technology acumen.
- Technology sales & relationship leadership skills.
- Significant experience implementing mortgage technology solutions (with lender as customer).
- Detailed understanding of lender mortgage origination process and environment.
- Strong facilitation and project management skills.
- Superb verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills combined with ability to interpret lender needs and translate to internal business partners.
- Adept at both leading a team and at communicating complex concepts to business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in developing positive relationships with key partners.
- Ability to develop strong relationships across the organization to promote a more collaborative environment where all views are considered.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders in defining key success factors and metrics.
- Ability to serve as an agent of change and influence peers and senior leadership.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $156,000 - $234,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
