Job Requisition ID # 24WD77956 Position Overview We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to join our Fusion Web Client development team. You will develop reusable Web-based capabilities and tools for our Fusion platform. You will report to the senior software development manager of Fusion Web Client dev team. This position is located in Toronto area and hybrid. Responsibilities
- You will develop new and maintain existing user-facing features
- You will work with the designer, product manager, product owner, architect, and scrum team to translate project requirements into elegant code
- You will help us to ensure all user input and automation tests are performed/submitted and passed before code submission
- You will optimize applications for maximum reliability, resiliency, performance, and scalability
- You will collaborate with team members and partners on software design, assessment, testing, and fixing product issues towards the team goals
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience web programming
- Understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and best development practices
- 1+ years of experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including React.js
- Experience with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- 1+ years of experience communicating updates and resolutions to the scrum team, customers and other partners in English fluently, in both oral and written
- Team player that committ to the team goals and support others in the team
- Experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects
