Job Summary: The Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing (REBEP) Department has the opportunity to join their team as a Senior Engineering Technical Support Specialist. REBEP is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology in the Raytheon business. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds, and lifecycle support for Raytheon. This position will be 100% on-site & will be based in Tewksbury, MA. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Manage the procurement and build of proof of design Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and Modules which includes reviewing the Bills of Material (BOM) to source parts, communicating with suppliers to obtain quotes and provide International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled documentation.
- Prepare and submit engineering purchase requisitions through SAP/Process Reinvention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM).
- Assemble Bills of Material kits for CCA and Module assemblies and maintain residual inventory.
- Assist engineers with test equipment needs and test/analysis of engineering hardware.
- Assist Lab Manager with lab organization, compliance, security, safety and ISO 9001 audits.
- Support engineering teams with logistics of moving engineering material between facilities and to/from suppliers.
- Assist with Transition to Production.
- Provide pricing estimates for budgetary requests.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of prior work experience OR in absence of a degree, 9 years of prior work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with vendors.
- Experience with SAP / PRISM.
- Experience with electrical components.
- Experience with test equipment.
- Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled documentation requirements.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience working in a lab environment.
- Familiarity with Raytheon procurement process.
- Technical skills to engage with Circuit Card design engineers and vendors.
- Experience with configuration management principles and/or Bill of Material (BOM).
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is a PLUS.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance is a PLUS.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
