Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Nurse Employee. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
What You'll Get To Do:
Candidate will provide nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities. Delivers OSHA and job/site required surveillance program services such as hearing conservation or biological monitoring to employee populations in collaboration with appropriate functional teams. Maintains accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements; provides health promotion and disease prevention strategies; provides counseling, health education and training programs as applicable. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). May work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
- The Nurse Employee Health is responsible for assuring the quality, integrity and value of Medical Services while working within a team of professionals, including a Doctor/Manager, EMTs, and Safety Engineers.
- Candidate will be the face of Medical Services and perform the day-to-day operations of the Roy Health and Wellness Center (HAWC), and will interact with workers, management, and other departments.
Basic Qualifications:
- 9 Years of nursing experience preferably in occupational health, urgent care, critical care, or emergency room with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to travel to SDS Spoke Locations, as needed, for training, wellness initiatives, and illness coverage, etc.
- Broad understanding of safety and injury prevention.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA Standards and Worker's Compensation laws.
- Strong skills in assessment of injuries and illness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
- Certification as a COHN/COHN-S is highly preferred.
- Certification as a COHC and NIOSH spirometry preferred (will provide training).
- Certification in DOT drug and alcohol screening (training will be provided).
