Job Components:
- Lead HEOR studies in designated therapeutic area to provide sound research design and high-quality analysis
- Successfully manage internal study team and keep studies on timeline and within budget
- Contribute substantially to HEOR business development
- Provide consistent superior consultative customer service by focusing on their high-level and immediate business needs
- Contribute to continuing improvement in HEOR infrastructure
- Contribute to growth of therapeutic area
- Complete administrative tasks in a timely and thorough manner

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific leadership and project management on multiple outcomes research and health economic studies simultaneously
- Stay abreast of and implement cutting edge techniques in outcomes research methodology
- Lead research teams and manage study budgets and timelines
- Design research studies
- Conduct or oversee study analyses
- Interpret and communicate research findings to diverse audiences
- Disseminate study results via manuscripts, reports, and conference presentations
- Manage client relationships
- Achieve high client satisfaction rating
- Mentor and train new research staff as needed
- Conduct business development activities

Years of post-high school education, in a discipline related to health services research (HSR), economics, health economics, epidemiology, statistics/biostatistics, psychology, sociology, mathematics, engineering, pharmacy, PharmD, MD, nursing, or similar degree can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience. In addition, successful candidates will meet the following:
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of research experience in the pharmaceutical industry, health economics or health outcomes research OR 7+ years data driven research experience in another field
- 5+ years of project management experience and demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a research study from design development to completion
- Demonstrated experience in project management of teams across multiple functional areas
- Demonstrated experience in data driven research
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, working with other intelligent, educated researchers
- Proven advanced written and oral communications skills
- Proven solid interpersonal savvy and the ability to build relationships both internally and with Customers
- Record of publication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology experience
- Experience with secondary data assets, administrative claims databases or electronic medical record data

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
