Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for Senior Staff Electronics Engineer - Supplier Management Team Lead on the RQ-4 Program. This role has both program responsibilities and up to 20% functional responsibilities supporting initiatives. T he preferred location is Rancho Bernardo, CA with a hybrid work arrangement but t his position may be filled in any continental US States. This role requires up to 25% travel.
Key Program Responsibilities:
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Program Responsibilities:
- Highly experienced Supplier Management Team (SMT) Lead responsible for leveraging knowledge and skills in various capacities on the RQ-4 program while acts as an advisor to the IPT Lead.
- SMT Lead managing suppliers on various contracts while identifying alternative approaches to problems on various contracts that have never been solved.
- Serving as a Cost Account Management (CAM) presenting to senior-level management on cost, schedule and technical risks and issues.
- Supporting suppliers and customers with troubleshooting anomalies including Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs).
- Provide compliance and evaluations of supplier proposals and serves as a spokesperson across the RQ-4 Enterprise on supplier performance.
- Maintains critical external customer contact to understand their technical needs.
- Mentoring SMT Leads across the RQ-4 Enterprise on principles, tools and techniques.
- Subject Matter Expert building an engineering culture that empowers employees and establishes personal and team accountability through documenting knowledge and processes on supplier management
- Champions initiatives such as knowledge sharing and innovation by leveraging industry knowledge and change impacts to the company.
- Supports special assignments, data calls and contributing to a wide-range of initiatives including Digital Transformation and Agile Methodologies
- Serves as a mentor.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution and 14 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR Master of Science degree from an accredited institution in a STEM discipline and 12 years of relevant professional/military experience; OR PhD from an accredited institution in a STEM discipline and 9 years of relevant professional/military experience
- Experience in supplier management processes, Cost Account Management, and avionics systems
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain special program access clearance (SAP)
- 5+ years experience in supplier management processes, Cost Account Management, and avionics systems
- Experience working on the RQ program or other military programs.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
