Role:
Responsible for leading & executing certification and qualification plans & work packages to ensure that the Engineering certification deliverables of an integrated program are in line with the customer, regulatory, business requirements and the product definition.
Responsible for the delivery of technical certifcation, qualification & compliance data to budget and schedule.
Coordinates, leads & executes certification work package and test activities, such as:
Static Tests
Dynamic Tests (Crash)
Flammability Tests
Vibration Tests
Environmental Tests
Durability Tests
Responsible for the creation, configuration, and approval of certification & qualification data for the development, approval, and continued airworthiness for the entire lifecycle of the product.
Plans, sets & executes day-to day goals and objectives for the certification work packages.
Responsible for managing & executing the certification tasks, deliverables and schedules as needed to meet targets and milestones.
Management of certification work packages in relation to budget, costs, planning and resources
Tasks:
Validate & verify through certification methods, that the designed and the manufactured product is compliant to regulatory technical requirements and specifications & functional requirements of the Customer
Supports the management and maintenance of all certification and testing related tools and equipment to enable business needs
Ensure all internal technical & external deliverables are met
Support Aircraft integration & qualification activity from the customer or integrator
Supports the design change management process
Collaborate with Chief ENG & Chief Of Airworthiness to develop state of the art technologies, methods and innovations
Collaborate with the Chief Of Airworthiness & Head of Design Organisation to ensure airworthiness compliance of products and certification methods
Responsible for all the certification related processes, methods, and procedures
Support of project proposals/statements of work including estimating and bid preparation
Technical guidance of the prototyping and testing technicians
Coordinates with other business departments to ensure business continuity and ensure product delivery to the customers
Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals
Qualification & Experience:
4 years of technical Studies (e.g. Aerospace or mechanical Engineering)
Preferably highly competent technical professional contributor with Aerospace industry experience.
Also considering job beginners seeking first Industry role
Knowledge of Aerospace standards (CS27/29) and testing requirements (SAE AS8049, RTCA/DO-160, Mil-Std-810)
Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager
Typically viewed as subject-matter expert within discipline
Experience with CAD-software (Siemens NX, Solid Edge) and MS Excel
Experience with measurement instrumentation and software (HBM Catman) desirable
Willingness for occasional business travel to customers and external test laboratories
Business level German and English is required
