Salesforce is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager of Marketing M&A to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping Salesforce's inorganic growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, with a specific focus on marketing people, processes, and systems. You will work closely with Corporate Development and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic M&A opportunities that align with Salesforce's business objectives and enhance our market leadership in the CRM space! Responsibilities
- M&A Deal Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine Salesforce's M&A plan and work with leadership to define strategy, with a strong emphasis on driving profitable growth.
- Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, technology assessments, and cultural fit evaluations for Marketing.
- Deal Structuring: Work closely with legal, finance, and Corporate Development teams to structure and negotiate deal terms, including pricing, contracts, and post-acquisition integration plans.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering, to ensure seamless integration of acquired companies and technologies.
- Post-acquisition Integration: Play a key role in post-acquisition integration activities, ensuring the successful assimilation of acquired teams and technologies into Salesforce. Particular attention will be paid to post-close “fast start” activities and first-year integration plans.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on M&A progress, opportunities, and challenges.
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships within the industry to stay informed about potential acquisition targets and emerging trends.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, or strategic planning, with a focus on marketing-related acquisitions.
- Optimally identifying, negotiating, and executing M&A deals in a corporate development or related role.
- Strong financial foresight, including performing financial analysis, crafting financial models, and assessing the financial impact of M&A transactions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the technology and marketing landscape.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
