You will be responsible for proactively leading the relationship with the commercial banking division of one of our largest Signature Clients. You will promote and secure the use of Visa Europe products and services across the client’s business to deliver great customer and business outcomes and deliver sustainable growth.
Through your deep client relationship, and your experience and thought leadership, you will develop strategic plans to identify and deliver new customer propositions, helping the client remain a leader in the UK market.
You will be an important part of the wider Signature Client Account team, helping to shape our overall account strategy, working collaboratively to deliver the wider team goals.
What we expect of you, day to day:
- Lead 1 direct report (and a broader matrix team) to manage and grow our relationship with one of our UK Signature Client’s commercial banking divisions.
- Leverage your deep understanding of the needs of all commercial customer segments (from small businesses through to multi-national corporates) to identify opportunities for business growth. You will work with the client to introduce Visa products, services and capabilities that will deliver mutual P&L benefits.
- Proactively manage the ongoing needs of the client and provide guidance to internal teams to ensure the highest quality customer service on all matters ranging from strategic to executional.
- Develop deep knowledge and understanding of our client’s business needs and challenges across their Corporate and Business Banking teams
- Develop and execute strategic plans, influencing at all levels to ensure buy-in and seamless delivery.
- Lead any contract negotiations and key strategic projects with the relevant client business unit and deliver on our mutual contractual commitments.
- Be accountable for prioritising conflicting and competing demand across the business to ensure Visa resources are deployed to maximum effect.
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to your direct report, supporting their personal and career development.
- Embed yourself in the wider account team and be a positive role model for our Visa leadership principles, fostering a culture of openness, diversity of thought, inclusivity, and accountability.
- Act as a champion within the wider account team for Visa’s Commercial and Money Movement solutions, supporting and driving opportunities across our client interactions
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of needs and challenges of commercial customers, from SMBs to large corporates.
- Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills along with experience of leading and managing virtual teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders up to Executive level, both internally and externally, gaining and building trust as the relationship progresses.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding and experience of commercial banking, credibility in the payments market, and experience of driving P&L growth.
- Curiosity and pragmatism, with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions, being able to handle objections and navigate successful outcomes.
- Ability to communicate complex issues and influences others internally and externally to take a different viewpoint, enabling projects and initiatives to move forward.
- Proven ability to plan, manage and implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills
