We are currently on the lookout for a Global Engineering and Technology Center Director to join the team in Wrocław, Poland.
What you will do:
- Developing and driving the technology vision and roadmap for Global Engineering & Technology Centers with alignment to the Power & Controls business
- Working effectively across campus business units (Operations and MRO) and cross-organizationally
- Overseeing the estimation and management of costs for the team of 300+ engineers (local) and 450+ (global)
- Creating business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals through design and implementation
- Providing inputs for the annual Strategic Financial Plan and Annual Operation Plan for the site
- Managing goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity
- Ownership for customer relationships directly at a senior level and monitoring of customer satisfaction across all business elements
- Increasing maturity of the team
- Developing, attaining leadership buy-in, and implementing the proposed actions.
Key areas of focus include business, technical and relationship strategies. - Leading the GETCs Power & Controls team for the development, deployment and monitoring of a cohesive Power and Controls Strategy
- Representing Collins Aerospace Wroclaw at regional trade shows and university events. Cooperating with local universities and schools to promote STEM
- Engineering representation at the Local Board
What we expect:
- Over 10 years of experience in managing teams, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Ability to streamline and implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
- Leadership capabilities (people’s development, making tough decisions, inspiring and mentoring your reports and colleagues)
- Excellent English
- Familiarity with working in matrix structures
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to business planning
