OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Buyer – Airbus Programs. In this role you will be managing accounts, purchasing parts, presenting to senior leadership. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Procurement.
This position works Onsite in our Chula Vista facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery.
Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
Monitors suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
Review critical shortages with the multiple stakeholders.
Managing the supplier relationship and improvement activities
Analyze and monitor contracts performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine need for changes.
Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
Forward looking for trends, supplier risks, drop in demands, using procurement tools
Proactively identify, analyze, and communicate program execution risks of supplier deliverables
Analyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveries (using CI tools).
Act any identified changes in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure successful procurement process.
Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
Carries out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RMAs, RTV, receiving grief, and MRB issues.
Gather data for applicable reports to aid in making short and long-term business decisions for procurement activities.
Communicate and work closely with different internal organizations such as quality and engineering to overcome any production and quality impediments.
Assemble reports and presentations to share with senior management.
Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Participate in supplier readiness reviews.
Other projects assigned and directed by Leadership.
Present to senior leadership on supplier issues
Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Experience with continuous and operations improvement such as Lean, Six Sigma CORE
Aerospace industry experience in areas of Supply chain, Procurement and Operations.
Must have experience reading drawings and blueprints.
SAP experience.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
